TOKI

Toki. Bench, 2025

Solid oak wood – cast glass legs

Toki, a Japanese word for time, referring to a precise moment rather than an abstract continuity.

This bench, which seems to float on the surface of the water, rests on almost invisible glass legs. Their reflection blends with that of the water, evoking the fragility of the present moment and the fleeting beauty of passing time.

Inspired by our journey to Japan last year, this piece invites contemplation of the impermanence of things and questions our own perception of time.
